56th BBH Society AGM: Reflections, Priorities & Forward Thinking

The 56th Annual General Meeting of the Beds, Bucks & Herts Society of Chartered Accountants was held on Monday 12 May 2025 at the Rothamsted Conference Centre in Harpenden.

Members gathered to reflect on the Society’s progress and future direction. Outgoing President Julian Daly shared highlights from his term, while incoming President Andrew Mead outlined his priorities for the year ahead. The new Management Committee was formally introduced, and the Treasurer presented the 2024 financial statements.

Following the official business, members took part in a panel discussion on sustainability and its growing impact on accountancy and local businesses. The panel featured:

 Sylvester Bamkole, Czarnikow Group Ltd

An interesting Q&A session followed, with valuable insights exchanged on how accountants can lead the way in supporting sustainable business practices.

The evening concluded with a networking reception, where attendees connected over drinks and canapés.
